 Watch When You are DrivingA study conducted at the Institute of Technology found that for every 30 minutes per day a person spends his time in the car, their risk of becoming overweight or obese increased by 3 percent.

In American citizens, they spend tons of time while driving, so why not challenge yourself without a car on Saturday. Try to keep the car in your garage all day, and plan your activities only by walking or biking when traveling outside.

This may be challenging for those who live in rural areas, but most people have the choice of shopping or dining by walking a long distance from home. If your destination is the supermarket, try to buy enough food for dinner and carry that home.
